Lalitha Mani

Background:

Lalitha Mani has over 15 years of experience as an intellectual property attorney with a focus on trademarks, portfolio management and enforcement of brands in domestic and international regions.  She has helped clients leverage their intellectual property assets to drive brand strategy and international business expansion, with particular focus on high growth, emerging Indian and Asian marketplaces. 

Lalitha started her practice with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and rose to become a senior attorney manager there, handling the more difficult and complex cases and training junior examining attorneys.  In her private practice, first as Senior Associate at Perkins Coie, LLP and then as Of Counsel at Baker Botts, LLP, Lalitha counseled domestic and foreign clients regarding clearance, prosecution, maintenance and enforcement of global trademark and domain name portfolios, licenses and dispute resolution.  Sample clients include companies like American Isuzu and Verizon.  Most recently, Lalitha served as in-house trademark counsel at Kellogg Company where she was primary counsel for the KEEBLER portfolio and supported the snacks business units regarding brand positioning and strategy.
