26 Jun Newman Du Wors Wins Another Permanent Injunction in a Trademark Case
Newman Du Wors attorneys Derek Newman and Jason Sykes won a permanent injunction preventing use of an infringing domain name. WestCoastCorvettes.com hired Newman Du Wors to get the domain name from an infringing user. After the initial preliminary injunction was one, the firm won the case, without trial, on summary judgment. The judge found the case to be exceptional, entitling our client to attorney fees. Defendant transferred the domain name and paid Newman Du Wors’ attorney fees. See W. Coast Corvettes, Inc. v. MV Mktg., Inc., U.S. District Court, C.D. Cal. No. 12-0269 DOC, 2012 WL 12882014.
