Jennifer Salva-Cushing

Based in Kansas City, Jennifer represents clients in disputes involving business, antitrust, and intellectual property. Several times, she won dismissals of cases against her clients at early stages, saving them the expense of trial. She has also won appeals and has experience drafting appellate briefs for both state and federal courts.

After law school, Jennifer served as a federal judicial clerk to the Honorable Julie A. Robinson, United States District Judge for the District of Kansas. She also served as an extern during law school for both a district-court judge, and for Judge Nancy L. Moritz, United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. She graduated from Washburn University School of Law Magna Cum Laude where she was on the Board of Editors of The Washburn Law Journal. She was named as one of the “Top 20 Law Students in the Nation” by The National Jurist magazine and was a J.L. Weigand, Jr. Notre Dame Legal Education Trust Scholar in 2018 and 2019.

Before becoming an attorney, Jennifer was an editor of the Journal of the Kansas Bar Association, and an in-house journalist for the Center for Remote Sensing and Integrated Systems—a branch of the National Science Foundation.

Jennifer’s advocacy extends beyond the courtroom. She has volunteered for several Kansas City organizations dedicated to creating employment and independence opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
